DONATE

Thrifty Sisters Makes Donating Simple: Bring in your unused or gently used items to donate for the benefit of Saint Francis – Manchester an Assisted Living Community, supporting the elderly in Richmond who otherwise do not have the financial means to affordable assisted living care.

We accept home furnishings, décor, ladies’ and men’s clothing, accessories, jewelry, books, vintage and antique items, and a wide range of other items. We welcome donations by appointment only. Please call the shop for more information – 804-658-4153.

As a non-profit with 501(c)(3) tax status, Thrifty Sisters offers donors the opportunity to list their donated items as tax-deductible.

VOLUNTEER

Be Valued – Give Back: Volunteers at our store are a part of something bigger than themselves. Each volunteer is a valued member of the Thrifty Sisters community.

OUR STORY

Thrifty Sisters has developed a significant following in the community since opening its doors in 2012 and was founded in the spirit of St. Jeanne Jugan, with the intent to provide help to the elderly who are in need within ‘our own backyard’ and the greater Richmond community. By shopping at, volunteering with, and donating to Thrifty Sisters, you are helping to support this mission which benefits Saint Francis – Manchester an Assisted Living Community

CELEBRATING 10 YEARS

We’re celebrating 10 years of serving and giving back to the greater Richmond community! And while we typically don’t like to toot our own horn, we are the first to proudly say that our shoppers, volunteers and donors are what make us so special – they are our heroes. Hear from them first-hand about why at Thrifty Sisters, the bottom line is always connected to the bottom of the heart, during Greg McQuade’s “Heroes Among Us” segment on WTVR.
